5 spot burnet

There are many of these moths on the golf links at Lower Hazel this year. I've never heard of them before, never mind seen them (that I recall).

Aelfwig's Stone

Could this be Aelfwig's Stone from which the name Alveston was derived? Grid reference: ST 624 875 at Lower Hazel.


I am pleased to see this track opened up just below the stone - could be ancient.
